1 # Unix low battery signaling tool (ulbast?) 2 A minimal utility I setup to help me with power management. If you use a wm like i3 or dwm, setting up a proper power utility system so I hope this might help you as well. 3 4 ## What you'll need 5 * acpi to get the battery information 6 ```sudo pacman -S acpi``` 7 * Dunst to receive the notification 8 ```sudo pacman -S dunst``` 9 Make sure it's running. 10 11 * notify-send to send the notification to Dunst 12 ```sudo pacman -S dunst``` 13 * mpv to play the siren sound, which btw is from pacman :) 14 ``` sudo pacman -S mpv ``` 15 * Cronie https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rgSxYvFWjUY 16 17 Make sure your crontab includes these lines 18 ``` 19 DISPLAY=:0.0 20 * * * * * export XDG_RUNTIME_DIR=/run/user/`id -u` ; /bin/bash /home/michael/bat.sh 21 ``` 22
